Why is HDTV taking so damn long?

Here is an article on MSN's Slate.com talking about how HDTV is available in most places now, but nobody knows it.

I can understand that HDTV is prohibitively expensive for a lot of people, that's fine. But the fact that most cable (even digital cable) providers don't have any HD channels, and some satellite providers require you to buy two dishes (one for normal tv, and one for HDTV), and most of their salespeople don't know they offer HDTV, means not many people have it in their homes.

Transformers Season 1 on DVD!

An article on DVDToons.com talks about some information released from Rhino Video concerning the upcoming release of season 1 of the old hardcore 80's cartoon, The Transformers.

The set is scheduled for an April 23rd release and contains completely digitally remastered full frame video and a whole pantload of extras. I don't know about you guys, but this was one of my all-time favourite cartoons. There was only about 4 seasons of this show before it went to complete shit, so hopefully they'll release the rest of them in the same fashion.

Take the test and find out who you were.
